Biography
Dr. Tahmasebipour studied mechanical engineering (manufacturing) at the University of Tabriz, Amirkabir University of Technology and Tarbiat Modares University, and founded the Micro/Nano Fabrication Technologies Laboratory. He has around 100 publications, third prize for applied research at the Khwarizmi International Award, the TWAS Young Scientist Award, the ECO gold medal and research grants from the Iran National Elites Foundation.
His results include the world's first metallic micro-accelerometer, an integrated two-axis nanopositioning system, ultrasonic and resistance micro-welding machines, a lab-on-a-disk for blood-component separation, electromagnetic nanocomposite micro-actuators and micropumps, and nanophotonic biosensors.
